Did you see the RadLab sale?

Woot! Totally rad is having a 30% off sale! They were one of our iNSD sponsors and I love RadLab to pieces

I'm so torn about this. I love the editing controls in Aperture, and I've purchased a few Aperture presets that I love too.

MissKim 06-20-2014 01:37 PM

I love RadLab so much. It makes my photos pop and it's so super easy to use in PSE.

DawnMarch 06-20-2014 05:24 PM

I'm a huge RadLab fan too - so much so that I don't think there's anything else I could buy during this sale. :)

mrshobbes 06-20-2014 09:23 PM

I keep waffling on whether or not to get it!!! My brother nearly got it for me a few years ago before I asked him to get me scrap kits instead LOL

Libby Pritchett 06-21-2014 12:16 AM

So, how often does Totally Rad have a sale? I'm SO tempted to get RadLab... like so so SO tempted. But my computer absolutely sucks right now. It crashes constantly when I'm running Photoshop (which is, ya know, like every day). I HOPE to get a new computer when we sell our rental house in a few months, so I'm wondering if I'd be better off just holding off and grabbing RadLab then when I can install it on a NOT-sucky computer.

Is the 30% off a pretty common sale for them? Or is this like a once a year kind of deal? Anyone know?

Traci Reed 06-21-2014 12:39 AM

It's a couple times a year, last time was black fridayish?

This. :-)

I go through a rather cumbersome process with Photoshop to edit every single photo I scrap.... I've often thought I should get some actions to speed things up a bit. Maybe I should try this!

I know their next huge sale (maybe 40-50%?) will be Black Friday.

So how do you use rad lab with Lightroom?

You use RadLab with Photoshop, not lightroom and it's a plug in that acts sort of like Lightroom. You can download a free trial on their site :)

Absolutely. And RadLab is even better than actions, ever since I got it I use actions very rarely. They have a trial version, so you wouldn't be buying a cat in thr bag. :-)

eranslow 06-21-2014 03:41 PM

Actually you can use RadLab in Lightroom - if you go to the FAQ page it lists the host programs and Lightroom is one. That all said - I don't have Lightroom but I know on an old episode of the digi show - they talked about using RadLab in Lightroom. I think maybe Peppermint uses it that way?

Oh my gosh. How do you keep yourself from processing every photo you have?? I've never tried rad lab... until today because of this thread. ...How long is the sale running??

eranslow 06-21-2014 07:01 PM

I believe the sale is thru the weekend

You people are bad for me. I caved.

Libby Pritchett 06-21-2014 10:53 PM

LOL I'm still debating, but you guys are NOT making it easy!

jak 06-21-2014 11:14 PM

I just downloaded the trial and am playing with it - it is SOOOO easy to use. And the results are pretty awesome (depending on the original photo - some really bad ones can only be helped so far!!). Its tempting.....

Traci Reed 06-21-2014 11:25 PM

Lovey love it!

I broke down and bought it on sale a while back after years of debate. No regrets, I love it.

gethane 06-22-2014 09:24 PM

I had to do it too. Thanks for posting about the sale! I looked at buying it last October, but was waiting for a sale and hadn't heard about the Black Friday one.

Libby Pritchett 06-23-2014 01:21 AM

Yeah, I caved. LOL

Traci Reed 06-23-2014 01:47 AM

Woot woot!

Lelly 06-23-2014 06:53 AM

Think I'm gonna have to get the trial first, see how I like it. Looks good so far though!
