What are your favorite kind of PJ's?

I'm in desperate need of some new summer PJ's. Mine are all super old or don't fit. I'm looking for a mix of things that are practical and maybe a little sexy. I put my PJ's on around 8-9 at night and will hang out with my husband and my daughters while we watch TV, scrap, play games. I've been wearing T-shirts and soft shorts and then putting on a bra and walking in that in the morning. I feel kind of frumpy doing that though - Would love some recommendations for summer PJ's that are comfy and cute! If you don't have recommendation - inquiring minds want to know...what do you wear to bed. :o

I wear a tank top or close fitting tshirt. I'm a tosser/turner in bed, and I hate wearing PJ's that get caught up or wrapped up in the sheets.

I sleep naked but I wear loose sleep shorts and a close fitting tee in the evening & when I get up. I like the stuff Target sells.

carrie1977 06-04-2014 08:04 AM

I always sleep in a tank with the built in shelf and some sort of shorts in the summer. I'm not big on buying actual pj's so I'm probably no help. LOL!

tanyiadeskins 06-04-2014 08:18 AM

I like the house cold so it is 70 degrees, so I can get away with wearing my flannel jammies all year which I love. <3 flannel pants and a tank top usually.

I'm no help either. T-shirts with yoga pants or the shorts equivalent. I need new pjs too, and I say I want to get "real" pajamas but will probably end up with nicer T-shirts and yoga pants.

I wear a thin snug-fitting t-shirt, and either thin jersey PJ pants, boxer-type shorts, or just my undies (depending on how hot it is). I like the PJ pants and tops at Target but I have a pair from Gap that are my favorite.

mariewilcox 06-04-2014 08:58 AM

Yeah, I'm no help either. I also hate getting tangled up in things and I hate being too hot when I'm sleeping so a room that's about 60 degrees and a barely there tank top and short yoga shorts are it for me.

scrapweaver 06-04-2014 08:58 AM

Another naked sleeper here - but I like soft 3/4 length pj pants and a shirt/singlet top for when I'm bumming around the house . . I think I wear PJs more often than 'normal' clothes on average (weird since I dont wear them to bed LOL) hahaha - love working from home

marlathrall 06-04-2014 11:52 AM

I typically wear one of my husband's old ripped up tshirts and soft shorts... And then I hop out of bed, put on shoes, a bra, and sunscreen and walk... soooooo I probably look frumpier than you do. lol.

I do sometimes think about buying cute PJs though.

I prefer to sleep naked but I lounge in pi's and wear them when I'm not at home. My favorites are tanks and boxers. It's hot here so the majority of the year it's too hot for traditional pi's.

I did get a navy set of these recently and they're cute and really comfortable.

I just bought a few pair of these, they are so, so comfortable.

I hate wearing pants when sleeping, I wear a short soft nightie, usually an old summer dress that's too worn to wear out anymore.

MissKim 06-04-2014 01:21 PM

Ya'll are freaking me out. My DH sleeps in just his undies and I can't stand the feel of his leg hair up against me. I used to just sleep in a t-shirt but then one summer it was hot and I could feel his sweaty leg hair and I had to start wearing PJ pants. In the summer I wear cotton capris from the PJ department. They're pretty thin. In the winter I wear flannel pants. I always just wear a big shirt with either. Sometimes the shirt matches, sometimes it doesn't. I try to make them match if we're not at home (on vacation or something because you just never know when you might have a fire drill) but at home I just don't care much.

yoga capris and a huge tshirt are my favorite pjs, though I prefer naked as long as my bed stays empty of kids (which doesn't ever happen... so i wear pjs)

catgoddess 06-04-2014 06:19 PM

I sleep in a t-shirt and my undies, but will wear shorts until bedtime. I don't wear anything sexy, like, ever - just being naked has never failed me yet.

~Cindy~ 06-04-2014 07:38 PM

I sleep in just underwear. My favorite around the house pj's are old navy's. They are thin and soft. It's usually a tank top with capri's/shorts/fleece.

I literally LOL'd at that last part. I could totally hear you saying that and know if we were in person I'd be almost peeing my pants.

I am so glad I'm not the only one that likes t-shirts and soft shorts or yoga pants. That's what I like to wear, or just a big t-shirt. But, I thought that maybe that was because I was fat and frumpy. *snicker, snicker*

kristijoy 06-05-2014 12:26 AM

I have a cute long knit tank top (covers the bum) that I've worn for years. That's my favorite when it's really hot outside!

staciahall 06-05-2014 10:45 AM

Soma makes my favorite pj's and nightgowns. The fabric is super-soft yet still cool here where it's hot.

adrianka 06-05-2014 04:01 PM

Night dress (or is it night gown?) from cotton. Cotton pyjamas in winter. All my current nightwear comes from C&A.

DawnMarch 06-06-2014 01:16 AM

I was feeling frumpy so I bought some cute short, stretchy cotton nightgowns from target. They are like spaghetti straps at the top and then come to about mid-thigh. Comfy and pretty although I don't like wearing them around the house in the mornings b/c they tend to ride up when you sit down. I prefer nekkidness, but always keep pj pants, a teeshirt, and my bra by the bedside because I have convinced myself that the night I don't we will have a fire/medical emergency and I am too voluptuous to just 'wing it' and leave the house sans underthings. 'Cause that's not totally neurotic or anything.

I am usually in a nightgown.

I would love to buy real pajamas, but most of the cute/sexy ones I see are not made for large-chested ladies. My gurls would not look cute and/or be held up properly to make the pjs look sex-ay, so I don't waste my money on them. If anyone knows of any lovely jammies that have real (not shelf) built-in bras, please point me in that direction!

Bravissimo / Pepperberry are specialised in (pretty) big size bras and nightwear, anything from cup D to cup K. They're in Britain, but ship overseas and you have 30 days to return anything. I haven't shopped elsewhere since I found them. :-)

I wear yoga pants/shorts and a tight fitting tank top to bed and to lounge around in the evenings. I can't remember the last time I wore actual pjs actually.
