ohhhh girl!!!!!! this to me is precious!!!! not only great representing of your journaling in the visual elements, but also Mrs Emma Peel the Yorkie!!!!! she was so beautiful!!!! And I reckon I would have done the same... probably I would have taken the car if I thought there was time... I had a similar experience in the 80s, but I lived on the 10th floor, I took my passport, and a photo album I kept always handy with the most loved photos and where I put my money to pay rent... Thank God the fire didn't affect any of the floors above the 2nd, so it was just a case of waiting for the fire brigade to make it safe... glad you were fine too!!!!!
What a scary story, but I know I, too, would leave everything but the dog...and maybe take my car as it is irreplaceable (in my mind)! I love the dalmation with the fire hat!
