When I was going through these photos from last fall, that thought JUMPED out at me (We're not made for this!) and I realized what a hard truth it's been for me to accept. (The twins are even GOOD kids, but whew, being with all THREE of those little jokers (my son, friend's twins!)
Journaling: All my life I have wanted to be that woman...you know the one in Good Housekeeping who has like 12 kids, most of whom are adopted...and sure there's some chaos, but mostly there's lots of love... THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ME! but that dream died with the birth of my firstborn/as I experienced life as a mother, I came to realize I HATE CHAOS! Somewhere along the way I came to value peace and calm. I still mourn the loss of my dream...I mourn that I'm not the person I thought I was. But when i look at that picture and think about how overwhelmed I feel with just one child, I know that sometimes it's okay to let one dream die and embrace the new ones that replace it.
