Journaling Reads:
I cannot tell you how excited I was at this ultrasound. After 4 miscarriages we decided to go through IVF to try to have a healthy pregnancy. We were even more excited to get that positive pregnancy test and then have it confirmed at the dr’s office. Then we had to wait 2 whole weeks to find out how many we were having. We had 2 embryos transferred back into me and we were really hoping and praying for twins because I just wasn’t sure if I could handle another loss. Plus the thought of twins was just so exciting to me for some reason. Anyways, I remember being nervous because even though the embryos were strong and healthy we just couldn’t be sure they would survive. Finally we got into the ultrasound room and got ready to see what we were having. We found both of them pretty quickly but it was still pretty early so we weren’t sure if we would see a heartbeat or not and we did. We saw one really strong one and the other wone was hard to see but we did see that heart beating. We’re having twins! EEK! I can’t believe it, and yikes what have we gotten ourselves into? It finally hit me that twins is a lot harder than just one, but WOW, we’re having twins! We went out and told everyone because they had all been praying for us for so long to finally have a healthy pregnancy and praying for us during the whole IVF process. Little did we know that it wasn’t going to be for long that we would be expecting twins. At our 8 week appt, we asked to see if we were still pregnant with twins because I just had this feeling that we weren’t. I was right in my feelings and at that next ultrasound we found out that we had lost Isaac’s twin. I still to this day often wonder about that baby and wish that I could have met that baby and held that baby in my arms. I look forward to the day I meet my 5 little angels in heaven and finally get to hold them.
