the Short Bus

iNSD Sugar Free challenge. Kit is Bad Day Blues from Kristen Cronin-Barrow. Font is Darcy Baldwin, Please Explain.
Amy, your journaling totally touched me. I have had something similar happen (my son is deaf), and it is so hard when people don't think before they speak. (((HUGS))) Love your layout!

Aww Amy reading this has me crying. My son rides the short bus too. He does so because he cannot handle the noise and activity on the "regular" bus. Your son will likely be like mine because he loves riding the short bus. It is quieter. They have AC on the bus. There are only a handful of kids if you are lucky and they have alot fewer problems on that bus. Nothing shameful or embarrassing about it IMO. Given the oppurtunity this year to switch back to the regular bus my almost 13 year old son said he would rather stay where he is because of all the "perks" the other kids do not have. Oh and every Friday my son's bus driver gives him a treat. Like a little candy or a soda pop (with our permission of course). The regular bus drivers never did that!! So after writing a book for your comments (((HUGS))) and just remember all the really cool positive stuff your son will gain being on the handicapped bus!!

I have a Brayden too! We call him Brady. It's so unfortunate that someone could be so completely ignorant to another's feelings. I'm apologizing for him. So sorry! Your little guys is just precious! Gorgeous photo, gorgeous LO! Lots of ((huss))!
