One of the benefits to moving to the south 14 years ago from the pacific northwest was supposed to be a warmer climate. This year, you wouldn't have known we even live in the south now. At times the temperature got down to 5 degrees and it was pretty miserable. Now that the colder temperatures have moved on and we're in the 70s on a regular basis I finally got to learn that these gorgeous flowers grow in my front yard. I just bought this house last spring so this is the first time I've seen them. Spring has finally sprung! and none too soon either!
