June portfolio task #11 - What's on your summer reading list?
I'm a school media specialist in a K-8 school in Florida. Each year 15 books are nominated in the 3-5 category and 15 in the 6-8 category for the Sunshine State Young Reader's Awards. Next year, I will be challenging our students in grades 3-8 to read all 15 books in their category. That means I have to read them over the summer so that I'll know if students actually read them. I have 29 books to read (because one book is actually in both categories) before school starts in August.
