My mom and dad had a huge rose garden when I was a teenager. There were 200 rose bushes around the pool, and they were planted in groups according to their variety. So my mom made up a little story to help us remember what each rose was called. It started with Mr. Lincoln and Queen Elizabeth, the Kentucky Derby and Chrysler Imperial. That was 30 years ago, but I still remember! My own Queen Elizabeth rose made me smile.
