On things like this, I have to insist on the concept that my dad kept hammering to us al our lives L: The only thing in life that is absolute is that all is relative.... So, up until my late 30s, I would have chosen hurry up and get there... but when we had Sarita, we had the blessing of being able to choose, landed in an amazing small village, even though small and colonial and very slowed paced, where everybody knew everybody, hardly have electricity of proper running water....it is the place where the Portuguese discovered Brazil...it had already very high class tourism from all over the world in summer... it is a shame that no longer applies to the slow pace, growth and progress can be a good thing, but in this case... I'm not so sure. Anyway, when I think of calm and beauty, homey and slow pace, I think about this place . Trancoso, Porto Seguro, Bahia, Brazil.
