Portfolio #24:
This is a LO about my love of the Twilight books. I do love the books and characters themselves, but I also love them for the fact that they renewed my love of reading which had disappeared for years.
Journaling reads:
I used to read all the time. I am a fast reader and used to read for fun all through school. But
something happened as I got older and had babies. The thought of picking up a book was offensive to
me since I knew I would become obsessive about it and not be able to pay attention to my babies. So
people sent me books that went unread and I felt bad. Then as we were going house hunting (and
we had to drive for two days each way) I decided to pick up the Twilight books since I wanted to
see what all the hoopla was about. They were an easy read and I was instantly addicted. But I didn’t
just stop there. I have continued my renewal of my love of books and I am so glad that I picked up
those "silly little vampire love story books" to get me started!
