'POP Weekly has learned from network executives that next season’s CSI Miami will be shaken up by a cool blast from the North.
Spicing up Horatio Caine’s (David Caruso) salsa in season six will be none other than Canadian born artist Kristen Gagnon. She will play the lab’s newcomer, Zoe Calder, brought into fold as replacement for the incapacitated Erik Delko (Adam Rodriguez).
Following Horatio’s romance and marriage to the simpering (and thankfully deceased) Marisol (Alana De La Garza), Zoe is primed to bring some feisty smarts back into his professional and private life. But first he’ll have to catch her attention and fend off the rehabilitating Erik....
Fans of the show should enjoy the addition of a female character with more substance and less glitz. After all, there is already more than enough eye-candy of both sexes on Miami’s CSI team. Next season promises to add some ‘chewiness’ to the sweets.'
