We had a similar thing happend to use with a house we loved. I always wonder how are lives would be different if we'd bought that house. Anyway, I love how your page turned out and I agree with Sherly, it looks so touchable!
So sorry to read this story, my friend. I looks like it was a lovely house and home. I love your layout though. I love the photos and all the pretty layers and shadows. I love the clusters and how you added a journal card. Beautifully done, as always.
Woah, that is a pricey fix! It looked like such a nice home, but it all worked out in the end, right? Love the blended photo, and that neat background is perfect for journaling. Terrific layout!
Thanks ladies! @LynnZant I heard from our realtor (as she was contacted by the seller's realtor) that they are making some of the fixes - "about $25,000 worth" - fixing the garage floor and wall as well as a new step (the step from the house was loose and our realtor nearly fell), tuck pointing the foundation cracks, fixing/raising the soil grading surrounding the house so the foundation won't get worse, plus items on the inspection like a railing etc. but they are not fixing the foundation itself.
So sorry that what seemed like the perfect house ended up with so many issues. Good thing for home inspectors! I like how you casually placed the photos and papers and love the shadow work!
Oh man, that does stink. But bright side is at least you knew all this before it was yours/theirs. I love the blended photo & the journal/pocket cards are perfect for this story/photos.
