Journaling: Sometimes telling the truth is the hardest part of this mommy’s job. I would love to be able to say that your first soccer game went well and you scored a goal, but in reality, my hyper-sensitive boy had a bit harder time than that. You seemed to have a bit of stage fright sweet boy. That’s the best thing I can describe it as. You were disappointed when you weren’t as fast as the other kids and they wouldn’t “give” you the ball. You trailed along behind them looking sad and try as we might to encourage you, you just wanted to quit. By the time you caught a ball in the stomach, the game was over for you and you just collapsed in a pile on the field. It took until half time and after snack to get you back out on the field, but you were only there a few minutes before you wanted out again. At the next practice, your attitude was even worse and we had to leave early. I don’t know how to support you and get you in the game at the same time my sweet boy, and I have to admit that we’re a bit frustrated. We will figure things out though, I know we will!
