For Tell Your Story #10.
Journaling reads: My dad loves to tell the story of this picture. He says that he loves it because it shows the personalities of each of the children so well. And, I think he’s right (unfortunately, for me). This was taken around 1976 outside the white church on Chase Lane in Centerville. My dad says that I was ornery this day because he had made me stand in the corner in the coat closet during Church. Obviously, I was ornery to begin with, or I wouldn’t have had to stand in the corner in the first place. But, I do have a pretty sour look on my face, and I’m sure I was grumpy about the time I had spent with my nose in the corner. I would like to think that I’ve matured since this time, but I know that being ornery is just part of who I am. I’ll probably never be completely rid of that particular trait. But, I also like to think that, at least when I was three, I was cute at the same time.
