So these photos of you on the stairs might make me seem like
a bad mom. Yes, I let my nine month old baby climb the stairs.
I let you do it all the time. I'm right behind you of course, in
case you were to fall but you are the sturdiest crawler I've
ever met! The first time you climbed the stairs a few
weeks ago I admit it was a total shock - I was
up in the kitchen stirring the chicken and dumpling
stew while you were (I thought) playing nicely with
some blocks while your sister watched "Go Diego Go"
when all of a sudden, I heard a little panting noise
behind me and YOU were sitting there on the kitchen
floor staring up at me like you wanted to say
"Surprise Mom!" Well you DID surprise me.
You surprise me every day with the things you
can do. Just be careful and remember to
take your life one step at a time...
