Once upon a time ... there lived a three-year-old girl named Skylar who had her tired, old mama so wrapped around her finger that she not only got to take her daily afternoon nap in her mommy & daddy’s bedroom but she got to do it surrounded by “lotsa” books, her “people” and quite often at least one or two other toys. Now her older brothers would tell you that they “never” got to do such a thing. And they would be correct. Is it wisdom with old age? Or just a mother’s need for some peace & quiet at whatever the cost? Whatever the reason, the end of the story is generally a nice quiet afternoon. And that’s as close to “happily ever after” as we’re going to get.
