Journaling reads-During the 2007-2008 school year, I received a grant through Deer Valley Unifed to participate in the Teach American History grant through the Federal Government. It is a two year commitment where I get to take graduate classes at ASU, travel, and conduct my own research on a topic that I teach. Over the summer of 2008, part of the grant program involved going to an American history seminar of my choice at a prestigous university. I chose “America Between the Wars” which was taught at Columbia University in New York City. I left July 13th, and returned the 19th and I had a great time. Not only did I learn alot, but I got to see and experience New York. Definitely a learning experience!
