You have a huge underbite. In fact your bottom teeth completely go over your top ones when you shut your mouth. We know that you are going to need braces. You know that you are going to need braces. . . and probably headgear too since that is what Aunt Traci had to wear to fix her underbite and it wasn’t even as extreme as yours. and the time is coming too because you are 9 and that is about the age that the doctor said that it would be time to start the process. You are not excited. In fact, whenever I mention your teeth, first you hide them: photo number 1 and then you give your best impression of how you think your teeth should be: photo number 2, which is silly because it leaves a huge gap in between, and then finally you just give in and show me the real deal: photo number 3. I know we need to have them fixed and that someday you will be glad that we did, but I love your childhood crooked smile, beautiful girl.
