As a step-mom I sometimes fall in a place of doubt about my role in your life. I took on the Mom role to you faster than expected when you were 2 1/2 & your mom was gone. I go back and forth with doubt & insecurities on what my role is to be - but you always remind me of my role every time you call me Momma. I don’t like labels like ‘step’ or ‘half children. After all, God calls us His children and loves us as His own. So while standing in line for a ride at Disney, you and I were away from everyone and you started to ask me questions about God & what it meant to be a Christian. So right then & there, you became a Christian in line at Disney! God showed me something else that day - He showed me that it isn’t DNA that connects us, it’s His blood. You and I may not be related by blood, but because of Christ, we are connected and redeemed together! God was gracious to me on this day and gave me the privilege of leading you in prayer. What an amazing day and what a beautiful memory! God in His mercy showed me my true place in your life that day. Esther 4:14 Oct 11, 2014
