For the current SWTSB challenge. :) So glad they got me journaling about this topic!
Journaling reads: Let me settle the debate, once and for all. My name is pronounced like "troo-duh". Or "true-dah". Whatever works. And not, its not short for Gertrude! I know my name is unusual and rare and I love it for that reason, but what kills me is when people doubt the way its spelled or pronounced. I'm pretty sure I know my own name, thanks! The great thing is I've never had to share it with anyone and I've actually had long-last friends recognize me from my name instead of my face! I love that it represents my treasured Norwegian heritage. It means "strength", which is oddly appropriate since I've always been a pretty tough chickie. My name has defined me in so many ways and I'm thankful my parents chose something so unique!
