When my Mom got pregnant, my father reacted by saying "It will be Adriana" before even knowing if I was a girl or a boy. He chose to name me after the Adriatic Sea because his father was a sailor who also sailed that sea. The sailor grandfather was also the only person in our family to have blue eyes (blue like the sea) that I inherited. I totally love this story and I also love my name.
