I found this idea in a mag. and LOVED it. Instead of kids buying me something (who had that kind of money?), each year whenever there is a gift giving occassion, they write a letter, note, draw a picture, glue in a card or photo, etc. in this book. That way I'll always have them in one spot and can see how they grow and change.
