So, I'll admit, this image is a total happy accident. I was moving too quickly, and while my image was focused on his face, I was rotating my zoom lens while pressing the trigger. It's a bad habit, but it sometimes results in fun shots like this one, where his face is sharp but the rest of the image has a zoom blur that gives it a great sense of energy and motion. As Cole started playing with his beloved bouncy ball, I got down on the floor and captured his sheer joy.
