To my knowledge, this 1996 display of the Names Project Memorial Quilt on the National Mall in Washington, DC, is the last time it was displayed in its entirety, due to its enormous size. The display stretched from the U.S. Capitol to the Washington Monument. The love that went into making the quilt is immense. It hallows the ground on which it lies. There are no words to describe the experience of viewing this testimonial to enduring love.
