To my future baby,
I don’t know what words I can express to help you understand how much we love you. We have prayed for you and begged God to give you to us. We have prayed that you stay safe while you were away from us. You are constantly on our minds and we haven’t even seen your face! This is a miracle that I am just amazed with. I wonder how people have a hard time believing in miracles. They happen every day all around us. I have learned this many years ago when we adopted your older brothers, Landon and Robert. I never thought my heart would be capable of holding so much love for those that didn’t grow in my belly. I am so blessed to be a witness to this miracle! I love the story of adoption. It is the truest form of love for me. A birth mother wanting something better for her child knowing that she was unable to give it. She sacrifices her feelings and makes a hard decision for your best interest. That is love. Me, a mommy waiting, taking in a beautiful baby that I have prayed for to love on and take care of. That is love. A heavenly Father that sacrifices his son so we can be adopted into the family of God. Now, that is love! Never stop believing in miracles, child. It is where you will find true joy and unconditional love that you could hardly imagine! I am patiently waiting to get you in my arms. I can’t wait to love you for the rest of my life! Love, Mommy (and Daddy too, of course!)
