For the sugar free challenge.

Journaling reads:
If you look very closely, it is still there. This is one of three scars I have from my
brush with cancer. My senior year of college I noticed my stomach getting bigger. I
didn’t say anything, just thought I was gaining weight. My mom told me, just keep
doing more sit ups, it will go away. I noticed, though, that my stomach was hard,
and eventually it was difficult to bring my knees up to tie my shoes. I finally went
to see my doctor and she immediately tests which led to surgery within a week. They
removed a 25cm cyst with a small malignant tumor inside. Thankfully, the tumor was
so busy making the cyst, it didn’t grow or spread itself. The following months
consisted of unexpected hospitalization because of loss of blood from surgery,
quick trips home from college because of abnormal blood results, and just plain
not knowing what was going to happen next. During it all, God blessed me with an incredible sense of peace and assurance. It was a difficult time, but one of great growth, and I have the scars to remind me!
