JOURNALING: It's hard to put this experience into words. I have been a huge Disney fan for as long as I can remember. Disney has always been a part of my life in some way, shape or form. In college when I started to thinking about what I really wanted to do I was inspired by the "Imagineers" at Disney and decided I wanted to be one of them. Through reading up on the "Imagineers," who they are, what they do, and what fields they cover, I came across an International Design Competition called ImagiNations. I immediately decided I wanted to enter. Long story short, I busted my butt to get an entry done in just two months and sent it in with my fingers crossed! I was thrilled when I received a phone call that I was a semi-finalist. June of 2005 I was abroad in Costa Rica but flew to Glendale, CA for one week to compete in the ImagiNations finals. It was one of the most amazing weeks of my life. I came home with a second-place trophy and an accomplished dream. I was so proud of what I had entered and presented to the Imagineers in California; it truly was one of the biggest accomplishments in my life.
