JOURNALING: ...a Spanish American restaurateur, Michelin-starred chef, author, and founder and "public face" of World Central Kitchen (WCK). He started this not-for-profit organization in 2010 following a devastating earthquake in Haiti. Their mission is to provide nourishing meals in communities immediately after disaster strikes while simultaneously supporting local economies to kickstart recovery. Most recently they have provided meals to citizens and emergency personnel fighting the devastating fires in California and they continue "on-the-ground" in areas impacted by conflict such as Gaza and Ukraine. In fact, just today (6/15/25), WCK reported that their kitchen warehouse in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, was destroyed by a drone attack. I'm honored to support his cause.
