The "rap" musical about the founding of America was conceived and created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who played the part of Alexander Hamilton in the original Broadway production. There is little actual dialogue with the story being mostly told via the music, which, in addition to rap, featured other styles such as pop, R&B, and soul. It has won numerous awards world-wife, including 11 Tony Awards, a Pulitzer, and a Grammy for the Broadway cast album. A TV version featuring most of the original Broadway cast (including Miranda) was presented on the Disney+ in 2020.

The touring production we saw 10/22/22 featured a tour-de-force performance by Edred Utomi as Hamilton. David Park, playing LaFayette in the first act re-appeared in Act II as Thomas Jefferson and nearly stole the show. And Peter Matthew Smith appears between some scenes as an hilarious King George.

Due to a computer overload, we got REAL tickets for the performance, not "digital" ones.
