Journaling: Oh Jazi, we miss you sooooo much. Scrapping this page is incredibly hard for me because I can honestly say you're one of the very few animals that has ever stollen my heart. Those big floppy ears won my heart over. Deciding to relinquish you to the Springer Spaniel Rescue was one of the hardest decisions we had to make. We all shed so many tears, we lost sleep, we threw around options.. we even prolonged it for months however we knew that we couldn't continue to put it off much longer. You were growing increasingly more unhappy by the day. You were throwing tantrums.. shredding any form of paper you could get your teeth on, pottying in the house... and the real icing on the cake for us was that you were starting to show signs of aggression. We knew that it was being caused because you didn't have a place to run. Our yard is tiny and unfenced and we tried taking you to the dog park, but we just couldn't do it daily like you truly needed. So we contacted the rescue on Thursday and set up a time to take you to the Ohio director's house. On Friday we received a call that they were able to place you in a home with people that were hoping to adopt you. The plan was that they'd foster you for several weeks to make sure you were the right fit for them and they for you and if it was right, they'd adopt you. So you, Jamie and the girls hopped in the car on Sunday and headed to meet your new family. I stayed at home because I just couldn't do it, I couldn't watch you go home with your new family. You took right to them and even happily hopped into their car.. that's a big thing for you, you hate getting in the car. The first few days without you were hard on all of us, and honestly some days still are. However we got a call a week ago today and your new family loves you as much as we do and they say you're happy.. which is what we wanted.. they also told us that they're formally adopting you. We couldn't be happier... we love you so much and we truly believe that we did the right thing for you... even if it was incredibly hard on all of us.
