JOURNALING: On October 2, 2024, I was privileged to sit int he stands of Lower.com field to watch the "greatest of all time", Lionel Messi, play the "beautiful game". Unfortunately, he and his team, Inter Miami, were playing "my team", the Columbus Crew. Although the Crew eventually lost 3-2, Messi played the entire game and scored two of Miami's goals. (Yeah, the loss was worth it!)
UNDER HORIZONTAL PHOTOS - Lionel Messi slipped one past the right leg of Crew goalkeeper Patrick Shulte to open the socring at the end of the first half. Messi celebrates his second goal a few minutes later on a free kick in first half stoppage time.
UNDER VERTICAL PHOTOS: Messi during warm-up period. Lots of standing around, but when you are the "GOAT" that's OK. But, watch out when he starts to move - it's the "beautiful game".
