A very quick & simple recycling idea for the April hybrid challenge:
I love dressing up my desk with a new look pen pot, but this idea would be cute for a party too to hold lollipops, or simply pens & pencils if you've a handful of kids over through the holidays to play.
I redo my pots regularly as an instant 'facelift' for my desk, but if you want to make the look more durable, simply cover in clear sticky-backed plastic!
...but please careful with sharp edges, if you use tins!!
