Journaling reads: The family gathered in Virginia in July for Grandpa Boehmer’s funeral. Julie and Daniel were too small to travel so far just for the weekend, so I went alone and Gary stayed home. It was a bittersweet weekend -- we were grieving over Grandpa but still it was so nice to get the family together and spend some time just quietly catching up and enjoying each other’s company. I wish that we could gather more often and under happier circumstances.
