I am a better mom today than I was yesterday, because of you. I’ve learned to take myself a little less seriously, because of you. I know that a little grime won’t kill anyone, because of you. I know that a little hair glitter during play time never broke a boy, because of you. I’ve learned to be less angry, because of you. I’ve learned that a little patience goes a long way, because of you. I am stronger everyday, because of you. I try harder each day, because of you. I know it’s hard doing this on my own, but I also know that I will get through it all, because of you. I have to cook meat everyday, because of you. I also know that that won’t kill me, because of you. I’ve learned that boys can be quite disgusting sometimes, because of you. I also know that said boys are perfectly fine and healthy despite the gross out factor, because of you. I’ve decided that guns and fighting obsessions are built into the male gene somewhere, because of you. I’ve learned to focus on the positives in life, because of you. I am becoming more of an outdoorsy person, because of you. I am learning how to bake everything imaginable, because of you. I’ve become a stickler for bedtimes, because of you. I am pretty relaxed about most kid related things, because of you. I pretend to have an interest in basketball, and pretend to play the game, because of you. I’ve learned to let go of a lot of those “I’ll never do that” moments, because of you. I’ve learned what it means to have someone depend on you for everything, because of you. I know that tomorrow may be harder than today, but I know that we’ll learn something new and grow stronger,and I know that everything in my life... is because of you
