For January portfolio, # 32b
"Even after Daniel and I had grown up and moved out of the house we continued to go on family trips together. Our most recent, and possibly most memorable, vacation was in 2005 when we went on a european adventure. We spent 1 week in London, England; - 1 week in Paris. France - and 1 week in Rome, Italy. It was the first time any of us had left the North American continent. I was really pleased to discover that travelling together as adults was just as fun as when we were kids!
We didn’t get robbed this time, thankfully. However we did miss our flight home! We took the wrong train for the airport, ended up in the middle of nowhere, and by the time we back-tracked and made it to our Check-in counter, the flight was closed. We missed it by only five minutes! i kid you not. And No amount of tears or pleading would get us through! We were stranded outside of rome for the night. And getting a new flight cost a lot of extra money.
Calamity strikes again for the godin family! But no matter - we laughed it off as we always do and made the best of our extra night in Italy.
It was the trip of a lifetime!"
