Journaling Reads:
There are really only 2 things that make me crazy – my BIGGEST pet peeves –
1 – Lack of basic manners – I was raised in the south where we were brought up to respect all. I say yes ma am and no sir. I say please and thank you. My children use table manners and do the simple things like take off their hat when they are at the table. Unfortunately it seems they are a dying breed. In this super tech age it seems like with all that we are gaining in knowledge we are loosing our manners –
2 – Gratefulness – I think that I see this more because I work with children, I will ask a question to my day care kids like – would you like some cookies – their first response is what kind – What is that? Where is the yes I would love for you to make me some homemade cookies – thank you – NO it is all about them… There are less and less thank you’s and more and more Gimmies -
