We have a sign that my kids know whose turn it is to do the dishes that night. If they forget to turn the sign, they do the dishes the next day. If you make dinner, even though it's your night to do dishes, it automatically goes to the other sibling. It keeps the fighting down. I made their original sign 6+ years ago. Through the years, the paper attached to the ceramic sign has worn and the kids styles/tastes have changed. This week, I sat down and redid each of the children's sides to fit their personality.
