Portfolio Challenge #25
Journaling reads:
Dear Aly,
You’ve taught me so much through the years.
You’re my first. Some people say that the first has
to deal with all of the mistakes that new parents make.
That’s kinda true. You’ve had to be patient with me while
I stumbled along through this new world called motherhood.
You’ve been so patient with me.
I had no idea what I was getting into when we had you.
I knew I would love you, I knew you would challenge me
and I knew you would be special. I didn’t know that being
your mom would change my life so completely forever.
Being a mom makes me want to be a better person. I
try harder in somethings. I fail miserably in others but I pick
myself up and try harder for you, because you deserve that
my sweetheart.
I pledge this to you. You may have to take the brunt of
my learning curve but I promise to love you, care for you and
make you know how special you are for the rest of my life. That’s
the least I can do since you taught me to appreciate the little
things about being a mom.
I love you baby.
