This is my layout for the SWTSB #43 challenge:
A little bit about these pics...my son is deaf - he lost his hearing to meningitis. He now wears bilateral cochlear implants to be able to hear - for those not familiar - this is what is "stuck" to his head in the pics. When I took him in for photos, the photographer did not want to take this shot since it showed his implants. This is one of my favorite photos of him. He has come so far and I am so proud of him. I do worry about how kids/people will react when they see these implants - he already gets tons of people staring - but he is completely oblivious to it. I want to teach him to have the courage to be strong and to always be himself.
