My dd had her first swim meet last week. She is 4 and the youngest in the bunch... she hold up pretty well with all the people and commotion till her turn to swim. Then she was brave enough to get in the water but couldn't make it across before bursting out in cry. Journaling is about how I wish she would understand that she will have many chances in life to do this again and that it takes a lot of courage to show your fears and feelings in front of so many people. She's my little hero no matter what ;)
