Avalynne Brielle

When I was pregnant with you, I struggled to pick
the perfect name for you. We had narrowed it
down a few names for both boys and girls, but none
of them felt like *the one*. One day I started writing out names on paper to see how they looked, and I wrote out “Evelyn”, who was your great-grandmother (my grandma). I felt that it was a little old fashioned and wanted to make it more fitting for a new baby in 2008. Eve became Ava, and lyn became Lynne (which is how my mom’s middle name is spelled). When I saw it in print, I knew that “Avalynne” was going to be your name. It was perfect. I fell in love with it, and I named you in my heart. Your name became so special to me that I hoped and prayed for you to be a little girl so I could give you this special gift. When you are older and people ask you where your name came from, I hope you are proud and will tell them that you were named with love.
