[i]"This is a memorable Christmas for us because it was our last year in our apartment at
Oak Forest, which of course we didn’t know at the time. The year before we didn’t have a
tree up, so Johnny was just enamored with the whole process. We drove out to Matthes Tree
Farm and pretty much let him choose the tree. I love that picture of him and John, though
I’m pretty sure we whisked that saw away from him the moment I snapped the shot. This was
the year we bought our two fish, George and Stuart (named after our current favorite movie,
Stuart Little. George ended up living with us for five years (Stuart wasn’t so lucky). We went
to see the Lights Before Christmas at the Toledo Zoo and it was so bitter cold. I remember
that Blues Clues toy he is opening, but other than that I have no idea what gifts we gave
him... looks like a lot. I think this was the year that John bought me my CD player, which
we still have, 9 years later. "[/i]
