Built in 1884 by an unknown builder, Book's Covered Bridge is also known as Kaufman Covered Bridge. Located on Three Springs Road (SR 2003) near Blain, Jackson Township, Perry County, PA, this historic wooden covered bridge is 81 feet long, 17 feet wide, and is a single span. In 2003, this Burr Truss covered bridge collapsed into Sherman Creek. The county and the community rebuilt the bridge. It is used regularly by vehicles. Book's Bridge was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
(I chase covered bridges but this one is especially important- Grandma's maiden name was Book)
