When we first got married we wanted to save up for a trip to Tahiti for our 10 year anniversary. We didn’t get to go for our honeymoon because Mark was out of a job for so long while we were engaged so we decided we would go at 10 years. Little did we know that the money we were saving would be for something else. We had no idea how hard it would be for us to have a family. Even with good insurance it still cost us a lot of money. When we decided to try IVF for our second child we were concerned about the money. In the end we decided that our family was more important to us than a trip to Tahiti. I’m not going to lie I was a bit bummed that we weren’t going to take this dream vacation... but I wouldn’t trade my family for it. I’m so happy with our decision and love my kids so much. Tahiti is just a place and would have only lasted a couple weeks. I’d much rather have a lifetime with my family.
