My eldest son turned 6 in April, and he chose a Pikachu cake (which he was very happy with!). A little tradition of ours is that the birthday child chooses their cake on their birthday, and I do my best to interpret their requests (for example, this year Rowan asked for "a yellow cake and yellow icing with a Pikachu on it").
