This is "International Dog Day" so I wanted to salute one of the newer breeds, recognized by the AKC in 2021, the Biewer Terrier. The breed originated in Germany in 1984 when two tri-colored puppies were born in the home of Yorkshire Terrier breeders. It wasn't until 2007 that DNA tests were finally run that confirmed the Yorkshire Terrier and the Biewer Terrier were two separate breeds.
