BFF Sinterklass gifts

This or That Challenges
11a - Kindness is like snow it beautifies everything it covers - Kahlil Gibran

This layout is a big thank you to my sweet friend and her family who spoiled us and bring us lots of Love. My kids couldn't be happier and they still talk about St Nick (we don't celebrate it here's but they know about him because I love this tradition and talked them a lot about him)! :D

Beautiful and happy Christmas page! Love that they got to celebrate extra - they look pretty pleased. I love the antler headbands :)

This is fabulous! I'm a sucker for a perfect kit to photo color/theme match up and this knocks it out of the park! The added themed elements throughout your page and tucked into your clusters are phenomenal!

I am so happy they liked the gifts! I love that they are interested in traditions of different countries. I know you said O likes to know more about Sinterklaas. I tell you when I have more time.
You should send me a list of the things O and N really like... so I can pick out more personal gifts next year.

I love your layout and all the details. It turned out so beautifully. It puts a smile upon my face.

I told you I would come back and tell you about Sinterklaas.

Sinterklaas is a childrens feast. You can compare it with Santa Claus in the US.
Sinterklaas lives in Spain. He has a white horse called Slecht-Weer-Vandaag (bad weather today). Sinterklaas has a helper, Zwarte Piet. (Black Pierre). Pierre is black because he climbs down chimneys.
They travel from Spain to Belgium/The Netherlands with a Steamboat.
Sinterklaas his birthday is on December 6th, so we celebrate Sinterklaas on that day or the evening before.
Children put their shoe in front of the chimney. They put a beer for Piet, a carrot or sugar for the horse and a drawing for Sinterklaas. In the night, Black Pierre climbs down the chimneys. The next morning kids find toys, chocolate, tangerines in their shoe as a gift from Sinterklaas.

Like Santa Claus in the US, you can meet Sinterklaas en Black Pierre in shopping malls etc... you can sit on his lap and tell him what gift you want to get.

The last couple of years there is a lot to of controverse about Black Pierre because it is racist. So mostly Black Pierre is replaced by a white man with black strips (root) on his face.

I hope it all makes sense.
