I didn't understand love like this until the first time I looked into your face. I have loved you from the moment I held you in my arms, though I had held you in my heart for years before. It was in that moment that life came full circle. I knew what I had been put on this Earth to do...the reason I had been born..to be a mother, your mother. I wasn't truly alive until that moment in time. I existed, yes, but as a woman, not as a mother. I hope you never forget how much I love you. It is my hope that one day, when you are grown, with babies of your own, that I will still be the one you call, the safe place you run to.
