Journaling reads: Caution. Warning. Road Closed Ahead. Those words have the power to kill dreams and crush hopes. How many times have I walked right by the “Road Closed” signs in life and ignored them? I have walked away from my place of birth, the religion that was drilled into me as a child, my parent’s imposed expectations of me. I have chosen the difficult, rocky path many times. I have never regretted it. God has always been faithful and seen me through. Because of His guidance, I have a loving husband and children, a true relationship with Jesus instead of just religion, and a home and church family that I love. Through the years, I have learned to trust the guidance of the Holy Spirit and take those leaps of faith. I am so thankful for each and every one, for they have molded me into the person I am today.
